LLBWS: West Wins In Eleven Inning Game With Walk Off Home Run

Three West Pitchers Combine To Shutout Southeast. West defeated Southeast 2-0 on Friday as three pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Sean Yamaguchi induced a groundout from Wills Maginnis to finish off the game.

The pitching was strong on both sides. West pitchers struck out 16, while Southeast pitchers sat down 18. One bright spot for Southeast was a single by Jansen Kenty in the fourth inning.


Sean led the West to victory on the hill. He lasted two innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out four and walking one. Ka’olu Holt threw two and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Ben Traxler took the loss for Southeast. He allowed two hits and two runs over two and a third innings, striking out three.

Jansen started the game for Southeast. He surrendered zero runs on four hits over five and a third innings, striking out 12 Aukai Kea started the game for West. He lasted six and a third innings, allowing two hits and zero runs while striking out ten and walking one.

West hit one home run on the day. Aukai had a dinger in the eleventh inning.

West collected eight hits. Aukai and Caleb Okada each had multiple hits for West. Caleb and Aukai each collected two hits to lead West. West was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Bruce Boucher had the most chances in the field with 16.
