LLBWS West Regional Final: Four RBI Day For Sean Yamaguchi Brings Victory For Hawaii Over No. California

Sean Yamaguchi drove in four on three hits to lead Hawaii past No. California 11-2 on Saturday. Sean drove in runs on a home run in the first, a single in the fourth, and a single in the fifth. No. California fired up the offense in the first inning. Tyler Allen grounded out, scoring one run.

In the bottom of the first inning, Hawaii tied things up at two when Sean homered on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs. Hawaii pulled away for good with one run in the third inning. In the third Bruce Boucher drew a walk, scoring one run. Hawaii tallied four runs in the fifth inning. Kaolu Holt, Jace Souza, Aukai Kea, and Sean each had RBIs in the big inning. Aukai was the winning pitcher for Hawaii. He allowed three hits and two runs over five innings, striking out 13. Sean threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Nathan Erickson took the loss for No. California. He allowed ten hits and nine runs over four innings, striking out three.

Hawaii tallied one home run on the day. Sean had a long ball in the first inning.

Hawaii racked up 13 hits. Sean, Aukai, and Mana Lau Kong all managed multiple hits for Hawaii. Sean went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Hawaii in hits. Hawaii was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Bruce made the most plays with 16.

Nathan led No. California with two hits in two at bats.
