Connecticut Wins Little League Baseball® New England Region Championship

Maine-South Portland American Little League couldn't keep up with Connecticut-Fairfield American Little League and fell 10-0 on Saturday.

Connecticut-Fairfield American Little League scored four runs in the fourth inning. Connecticut-Fairfield American Little League's big inning was driven by a double by Sean O'Neil and a double by Michael Iannazzo.

One bright spot for Maine-South Portland American Little League was a single by Aiden Lee in the second inning.

Ethan Righter earned the win for Connecticut-Fairfield American Little League. He tossed four and a third innings, allowing zero runs, four hits, striking out nine, and walking one. Andrew Heffernan took the loss for Maine-South Portland American Little League. He pitched four and two-thirds innings, giving up seven runs, nine hits, striking out five, and walking zero.

Aiden led Maine-South Portland American Little League with two hits in three at bats.

Connecticut-Fairfield American Little League had 13 hits in the game. Matthew Vivona, Ethan, Michael, and Sean each collected multiple hits for Connecticut-Fairfield American Little League. Matthew went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Connecticut-Fairfield American Little League in hits.
