Southeast Region Walks Off Against Northwest Region, 3-2

South Williamsport, PA - Not even a strong hitting and pitching performance from Zack Reynolds could carry Northwest past Southeast at Lamade Stadium on Thursday as Northwest suffered a 3-2 defeat.

Reynolds racked up two RBIs on two hits for Northwest. He tripled in the third inning and singled in the sixth inning.

Reynolds handled Southeast's lineup with ease, racking up seven strikeouts. Reynolds allowed three earned runs on five hits and no walks over 5 1/3 innings.

Northwest was ahead early but it ultimately surrendered the lead for good. Northwest was ahead until the sixth inning, but Southeast would not be denied the win, taking the lead back on a two-run double by Robert Carroll.

Tanner Jones had a hot bat for Southeast. Jones went 2-3, drove in one and scored two runs. He homered in the third inning and singled in the sixth inning.

Zach McWilliams struck out nine hitters en route to the Southeast win. McWilliams allowed two earned runs, two hits and one walk over six innings.

Reynolds was charged with the loss.

Northwest jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the top of the third. A triple by Reynolds, bringing home Joe Schutz and Julian Mora started the inning off.
