Bowling Green Eastern LL from Bowling Green, Kentucky to Represent Great Lakes Region in Williamsport

Williamsport, PA - John Guthrie had two extra base hits, sparking Bowling Green Eastern LL to a 7-2 victory in six innings over Essexville Hampton LL. With the victory, Bowling Green Eastern LL will represent the Great Lakes Region in the Little League Baseball® World Series.

Isaiah Head shut down Essexville Hampton LL while he was on the rubber. Essexville Hampton LL managed just one hit off of Head, who allowed one earned run, walked three and struck out 10 during his 5 2/3 innings of work.

Bowling Green Eastern LL was sparked by Carson Myers and Guthrie, who teamed up for three hits and two RBIs.

Alex Czyzewski took the loss for Essexville Hampton LL. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out three, and allowed four runs.


The lead stayed with Bowling Green Eastern LL after the second, when it scored one run on a solo home run by Myers.

Bowling Green Eastern LL increased its lead with three runs in the third. A error scored Patrick Forbes to get Kentucky-Bowling Green Eastern LL on the board in the inning.

Bowling Green Eastern LL piled on two more runs in the top of the fourth. A passed ball scored Tate Hanks to start the scoring in the inning. That was followed up by Kyle Snyder's single, plating Jackson Moore.

Essexville Hampton LL scored one run in the bottom of the fourth to cut its deficit to five. An error gave Essexville Hampton LL life. Finally, Head induced an inning-ending strike out from Mike Mulders.

One run in the bottom of the sixth helped Essexville Hampton LL close its deficit to 7-2. A bases loaded walk sparked Essexville Hampton LL's rally. But, Devin Obee got Cade Coquillard to strike out to end the game.
