South Williamsport, PA - West jumped out to an early lead on Great Lakes and captured an 11-3 victory on Tuesday at Lamade Stadium.

With five runs in the first three innings, West left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

Antonio Andrade was solid at the plate for West. Andrade went 3-4, drove in one and scored four runs. He singled in the first and second innings and homered in the fifth inning.

Carson Kelley put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for Great Lakes. He doubled in the fourth inning and homered in the fifth inning.

Dante Schmid recorded the win for West. He allowed two runs over 3 2/3 innings. Schmid struck out four, walked two and gave up three hits.

Eli Burwash was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed seven runs in 5 2/3 innings, walked one and struck out 10.

West added four more runs in the top of the sixth. A clutch error scored Cameron Barbabosa and Andrade to open the scoring in the frame. That was followed up by Walker Lannom's double, bringing home Mendez.
