South Williamsport, PA - Great Lakes beat Southeast 4-3 Monday behind both the bat and the arm of Eli Burwash.

Burwash had two extra-base hits for Great Lakes. He homered in the first inning and doubled in the fifth inning.

Burwash had an impressive outing against Southeast's lineup. Burwash held Southeast hitless over one inning, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two.

Braden Golinski racked up two RBIs on two hits for Southeast. He homered in the second inning and singled in the fourth inning.

Ty Bryant recorded the win for Great Lakes. He allowed three runs over five innings. Bryant struck out five, walked two and gave up four hits.

Great Lakes was sparked by Burwash and Devin Obee, who teamed up for three hits and two RBIs.

Terrence Gist ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He lasted just 4 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out six, and allowed four runs.

The bottom of the first saw Great Lakes take an early lead, 3-0. A solo blast by Burwash started the inning off. The scoreboard lit up again for Great Lakes when Thurman scored on an RBI triple by Obee and Obee scored on a fielder's choice.
