World of Little League® Museum Visitors to Hunt for “Treasure”

SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (February 26, 2015) – For the month of March, successful participants in the World of Little League®: Peter J. McGovern Museum and Official Store Scavenger Hunt will find treasure in the form of a Vintage Little League Baseball World Series pin.

The leprechauns have visited the Museum and established three contests: One for children 10 and younger; a second for 10- to 15-year-old visitors; and a third for everyone else.

Participants will answer questions as they tour the Museum. Those who get them correct will earn a collectible pin (a $4 value). There are questions from each of the six innings, or galleries.

“This is a great way to start or add to a pin collection, as thoughts turn to getting back out onto baseball and softball fields,” said Lance Van Auken, Little League Vice President and World of Little League Executive Director. “It will be a fun tour for anyone of any age, to locate the treasures that are in our Museum every day of the year.”

The Museum will host “Play Ball Weekends” in April. During this time, visitors wearing professional baseball logo merchandise will receive free admission on Saturdays and Sundays.

Children 4 and under are admitted free. Children ages 5-12 are admitted for $2. Seniors 62 and older are admitted for $3General admission for the Museum is only $5.
