2014 LLWS - Seoul, South Korea wins World Series Championship

South Williamsport, PA - Dong Wan Sin went 2-3 and hit a home run, helping Asia-Pacific to an 8-4 victory over Great Lakes on Sunday at Lamade.

He singled in the third inning and homered in the fifth inning. Hae Chan Choi got the win in relief for Asia-Pacific. Choi pitched four innings and allowed three runs.

Brandon Green took the loss for Great Lakes. He allowed eight runs in 5 2/3 innings, walked one and struck out five.

Asia-Pacific went up for good in the first, scoring one run on an RBI double by Jae Yeong Hwang.

Asia-Pacific tallied one run in each of the third, fourth and fifth. In the third, Asia-Pacific scored on a groundout by Hwang, bringing home Choi.

Asia-Pacific piled on four more runs in the top of the sixth. A double by Shane Jaemin Kim ignited the offense,, scoring Ji Ho Park. That was followed up by Jin Woo Jeon's single, plating Gyu Heon Kwon and Dong Hyeok Kim.

Three Great Lakes runs crossed the plate in the bottom half of the sixth, making the score 8-4. A two-run single by Darion Radcliff and a passed ball fueled Great Lakes' comeback. Choi ended the game by getting Ed Howard to.
