2014 LLWS - Mexico fends off Canada's late push, holds on 4-3

South Williamsport, PA - Canada wasn't able to come back from the big hole it dug itself into against Mexico, and Canada lost 4-3 to Mexico after falling behind by three runs in the fourth inning.
Canada scored two runs in the fifth,but still couldn't catch Mexico.

Luis Rodriguez racked up two RBIs on three hits for Mexico. He homered in the third inning and singled in the first and fourth innings.
Juan Garza kept contact to a minimum, striking out nine Canada batters. Garza allowed one earned run on two hits and one walk over four innings.
Rod Betonio got on base two times in the game for Canada. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He homered in the third inning.
Joseph Sinclair ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He lasted just 4 1/3 innings, walked two, struck out five, and allowed four runs.
Mexico closer Aldair Tellez put away the final five outs to record the save.
Mexico jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first. Rodriguez started the rally for Mexico with a single.
The game was never in doubt after the third, as Mexico scored two runs on a two-run home run by Rodriguez.
